Christmas Day!

Once again Santa was good to all of us, especially Natalie. She got her pink computer, lipstick, makeup and mirror. She was right in the middle of it all at Grammie's. She would help play Santa for a bit and then she had to help everyone open their gifts.

Harper got her Sofie, and if you judge a baby's favorite toy by how often they chew on it, well, it was her favorite.

I couldn't tell you for the life of me what we are staring at.

Byron was such a good sport when it came to Natalie and her makeup. Blackmail for the future?

After all the commotion was over we headed over to Granny's for lunch and for one more round of gifts and Secret Santa.

We even got a little snow that night. Natalie asked a million times if I could just hurry up and make it snow. The look on her face when she woke up the next morning was better than when Santa came probably. However this little Mississippi showed her true colors. It took us probably 20 minutes to get bundle up before she called it quits not even 5 minutes after being out there. The wind was just to much for us, but the dogs had a field day!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went to the children's Mass and watched Kody ring bells and Brady and Karly tell the story of Baby Jesus. It's always so sweet to watch and to see the kids eyes when Santa walks down the isle at the end is just priceless.

Afterwards we started a tradition of going to Nan's to have Christmas with my Dad's side of the family. But Nate and I insisted if we do this we have to have breakfast for dinner. This is the best of both worlds. We get to spend more time with Nan, Ang, Larry, Amy & Mike and eat our fill of country ham, biscuits & gravy and all the fixings.

I took this as an opportunity to get some good pics while the girls were dressed in their Christmas outfits.
Natalie just loves Angie's dog Rudy.

Our first family of four photo. It only took 6 months to get and don't the girls looked thrilled. I'm still framing it.

Angie and the girls. Poor Harper, it was past bedtime.

Mike had the magic touch this night. I'm pretty sure Harper would have fallen asleep in his arms.

Harper's Baptism

We finally were home for longer than a weekend and could get Harper baptized. And I know I joked about the gown not going over Natalie's head but it really didn't fit over Harper's. We had to cut it to make it work but it worked and she looked like a little angel in it.

I think she got a kick out of Father Darrell. She constantly made faces, smiled and even tried to talk to him through the whole thing. I'm pretty sure had we put her in bowl of water she would have had a field day in that too. She didn't cry one bit.

She was just fascinated with Father.

Kicking Off Christmas

We started our Christmas festivities in Kentucky a little early so we could celebrate with Nana & PaPaw before they left for North Carolina. I'm pretty sure Natalie not only opened her gifts but all of Harper's as well. She better enjoy it while she can because I'm pretty sure next year will be a whole different story.

Nat got her pink scooter she had been asking for. All her "girlfriends" have them in the cul-de-sac and now she should fit right in. She kept asking us all night if we liked it and told us "it is awesome" and "it's so pretty and pink". She rode it all through Sue's house for two days straight. I think it's safe to say it was a hit.

Mulligan loves laying, sitting and standing under the tree. He has found the perfect back scratcher for those unreachable itches.

I Take Your Picture?

Nat loves to play pretend with her cameras. She usually holds the camera backwards but we smile and say cheese every. single. time. We bought a little point-and-shoot camera to take out to Napa and the other night, while Daddy was working late, Nat begged to use it. So we had an impromptu shoot on the couch (and I can't believe I'm posting these, I look like death warmed over).

Then it was my turn to turn the camera on Nat.

Sitting Pretty

We go away for a long weekend and I come home to little miss doing this.

Pretty probably isn't the best adjective, she still has a ways to go. She lasts maybe 30 seconds but it's a start. She's more in that crouching over, double jointed state. It's funny to hear Natalie when she starts to topple over.  I hear "oh, oh, oh, Mama she fell over!"
