The Countdown is On!

Well we are patiently waiting for the arrival of little Miss Harper Elizabeth. I have done all I can do to her room, cleaned the infant carrier, sanitized bottles, pacis and sorted clothes. So now we wait. As of last week she was breech which will most likely land me a c-section. Not looking forward to that. And if I had to guess her final eviction date will probably be around July 6, just one day shy of my birthday.

Here is what has been keeping me busy since we found out she was a girl back in February. I knew early on, I would not do another, full out, pink room like Natalie's. I just couldn't do it again. So I went for a light aqua blue, which isn't shown really well in the pictures, with pops of bright pink and yellow.

Let me just say Pinterest was a great inspiration for most of these projects. I just love your little name pillow Sue and I made for you. The nightstand got a long overdue makeover and repainted pink.

I also took a little page from Pottery Barn Kids and talked Byron into hanging a shelf all the way around the room, on 3 walls. They are pretty bare right now but I like to have room to grow, and this will be a perfect spot for all those keepsakes I don't want her to break.

Sue made all the bedding/linens and I made the little elephant up above using my new found sewing skills. Natalie did help stuff it. We kinda have a elephant theme going I guess you could say. It wasn't intentional, we bought the stuffed elephant when we first found out we were pregnant. It's kinda a little tradition, with Natalie we bought a monkey.

Artwork above the crib inspired by some etsy.com prints.

Big/Little Sister corner. Pictures to come (obviously).

Changing Table & Bow Holder

And of course a closet full of clothes, diapers and wipes and a fully stocked wine fridge. Who needs a bookcase? :)

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Nat got her first experience at going to the circus last night. She loved just about every minute of it. Naturally the dogs jumping around were her favorite part. She even thinks Mulligan should be able to do those tricks, and the elephants probably came in a close second.

She got to see the animals up close and meet some of the performers, plus dance her booty off before the show began too. All and all it was a good night, lots of icee and cotton candy was consumed and she got to stay up well past bedtime. Plus it's weird to think that any of these outings could be our last as family of three so I hope that makes them extra special. Although in reality I know she has no concept of that yet.

Practice Makes Perfect

We've slowly been dragging out baby stuff to not only get the dogs used to all the new toys/gadgets but Nat as well. And if these pics are any indication, she is going to be a great big sister and helper.

Vacay in KY

Nat and I had us a little girls trip last week since her school was closed for 2 days for the Memorial holiday. We loaded up the van and drove to KY to visit with everyone one last time before the baby arrives. I can only hope this next one travels as well as Nat. I think I had to stop to pee more than she needed too :)

Anyways I didn't take many pictures (bad blogging momma, I know), but she had a week packed with fun. Nan came and visited and got talked into splashing in the sprinklers, she swam with Kody, Brady and Karly in their pool a few times, played golf with Nana & PaPaw, went to the KY Lake Beach and even saw a bullfrog and snake hanging around PaPaw's pond.

Sue and I worked on baby stuff, which I'll post about later and I got some much needed R&R with all the grandparents around to help entertain Nat.
